Welcome to Bracknell Forest Cambium Partnership

Bracknell Forest Cambium Partnership is a 50:50 Joint-Venture partnership between Bracknell Forest Council and Countryside Properties to redevelop a number of key sites in Bracknell. This will continue the successful regeneration of Bracknell town centre following the launch of The Lexicon.

We have identified key sites within the Council's long term aspirations as part of the ‘Bracknell Town Centre Vision 2032’ report. This sets out how Bracknell will realise its potential as a strong town centre, serving a prosperous and dynamic area.

Over recent months we have been consulting with the local community to bring about developments of high quality which aim to create a sustainable neighbourhood with a variety of homes including affordable housing.

The three Category 1 sites which are currently being developed by the Partnership are:

Coopers Hill

The partnership’s first project is the redevelopment of the Coopers Hill site. Our aim is to create new homes for families, first time buyers and older people, all within walkable reach of the town centre. We want this to be an inclusive community that sits in a green and attractive setting, complementing the surrounding character of the site.

Market Street

Market Street is the second site to be submitted for planning from the Bracknell Forest Cambium Partnership. This application proposes to deliver high quality residential apartments and commercial uses, enhancing the public realm and the wider town centre and its accessibility to and from the west.

Ambition for Bracknell

Over the next 10 to 15 years, Bracknell will realise its potential as a strong & sustainable town centre, serving a prosperous and dynamic area. It will draw on its Twentieth Century ‘New Town’ character and blend this with its deeper legacy as a historic town, capturing the benefits of both worlds.

Our vision is to deliver high quality development that supports a thriving, 18-hour town centre and catalyses further regeneration in the area. It must serve the needs of all residents and businesses, including new affordable homes and community facilities, fostering a sense of local ownership.

Positive and Proactive Consultation

Through consultation with the public, community organisations and local elected representatives we will look to craft projects that are tailored to the needs of the community.

Enhance Bracknell’s Environment

Bracknell is surrounded by great landscape and countryside. Our developments will feature considerate landscaping to join the built and natural world and improve the public realm.

Building Strong Communities

We will build at least 400 new homes across the three sites, with a real mix of properties that cater for first time buyers, older people and families, whilst providing affordable housing throughout the developments.

We hope to boost economic recovery after COVID-19, as well as providing new opportunities to live, work and enjoy Bracknell town centre with everything on your doorstep.

Our ambition is to create new offices, shops and leisure facilities, alongside modern community spaces for health and wellbeing enabling the growth of the town that supports the local economy and community.

The joint venture will create new buildings that can stand the test of time, with attractive designs and good quality materials that are robust and sustainable.

Sustainable

We will promote sustainability throughout our developments by encouraging sustainable transport, sustainable construction including installing sustainably efficient appliances within our new homes, and by installing thoughtful landscaping to promote ecology.
